Goodness, I think of you so often . With the memory of an elephant, I find myself say “ Fran will know.” Your friendship is sorly missed.

Dear Fran was our kind loving friend. We worked with Fran at the College of Notre Dame of Maryland for a few years in the early 90's. Over these years, Fran called us every year for our birthdays, holidays and even after we traveled. We always kept in touch. As she visited us on our farm on the eastern shore she would always bring yummy sweets from Eddie's Market. For years she would talk about how she helped us pick string beans from our garden.  "Human beings only become perfect when they are overflowing with love"....Fran  overflowed with love.  We were truly blessed to have Fran in our life.


Fran, a friend of 50 year plus, has always been a positive, loving part of my life. We stayed in touch since Towson University days - where she was employed and I was a student returning as a Veteran on the G.I. Bill. Fran helped me with the paperwork involved and we became fast friends. During those school years -  I worked at a small bar in Towson and Fran would drop by - adding so much "class" to a small, simple,  hole-in-the-wall place that could have been the inspiration for "Cheers."
Throughout the years, as my husband and I and eventually our daughter,  relocated many, many times - Fran remained in contact    and several times visited our new locations.
My life feels so much emptier now - knowing I  won't hear her voice again - but I know she's in a better place that she sincerely deserves.  She will be missed, and never forgotten.

When I interviewed at Comp-u-Staff in January, 1983, the very nice lady interviewing me was Fran Miner. She put me at ease and was patient. I had not worked in 5 years as I had been raising my 2 children. It was a pleasant experience.  I got the job and reported directly to Fran, who told me later that I was her first hire as head of HR.  She was a great mentor and she always had some adage to add to my reviews, they were usually funny.  I will miss her smile and she had the largest collection of scarves of anyone I know.  Rest in peace Fran. I wish I could have made it to the Memorial but the weather and the PA transportation system had other ideas. I will miss sharing Happy Birthday wishes with you since we were only 4 days apart.

Fran Miner was a special person - to know her was to love and respect her for her special gifts which she shared very generously.   She will be missed by legions whom she met during her lifetime.

I have called Fran a friend since I was a freshman in college at Towson State. I met her at News and Publications, where I was an intern, and she was a frequent visitor to our offices.  

Her smile was her calling card. She was kind, very funny, and always willing to lend a helping hand. 

And many years later I saw her again at Future Health. I was so excited to see her there. And she hadn’t changed at all!!! 

She was one of a kind!  I know she is at peace in Heaven, reunited with those she loved, who went before her.  I will miss you Fran!

There are few people more universally admired than my cousin Fran.  I knew from a very early age that she was exceptional-
lovely in every way.  Just her strong, pleasant presence spoke volumes.

I’ve no doubt that Fran helped shape the hearts and souls of all of us so blessed to call her cousin.

Sending  my thoughts  and prayers to the family of Frances Miner.  She was a wonderful friend for so many years.  I always enjoyed being in her company.    Many years, my family looked forward to our annual Christmas Eve get together at her home.
We all prayed that she would win the hard battle that she was fighting.   God had different plans.    Thanks for all the wonderful memories we shared.

Like so many of her friends, I knew Fran for over 40 years and she remembered all our birthdays and kept in touch with everyone. She was the core of our circle of friends. My loss, our loss, is a tear to the soul of our collective friendship. To paraphrase the orator Robert Ingersoll: She added to the sum of human joy; and were everyone to whom she did some loving service to bring a blossom to her grave, she would sleep beneath a wilderness of flowers.
I am honored to have been counted among her friends.
