On September 12, 2016 Frances "Fran" Poetzel passed away. She was the beloved wife of John "Jack" Poetzel, Sr.; devoted mother of John Poetzel, Jr., and Greg Poetzel and his companion Amanda Gianotti; cherished grandmother of Kristen, Jacob, and Dylan Poetzel, Amber, Alyssa, Alex, and Amera Gianotti; dear sister of Doris Wolfkill and her husband Pete, and the late Marian Holm and her husband Larry; loving sister-in-law of Fr. Richard Poetzel, Mary Ann Rahley, Carol Poetzel, and Maryann Poetzel.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit at Schimunek Funeral Home Inc., 9705 Belair Rd. Nottingham , MD 21236 on Thursday from 3-5 and 7-9 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Gilchrist Hospice Care, 11311 McCormick Road, Suite 350, Hunt Valley, MD 21031.
