On December 5, 2021, George Joseph Wimmer passed away peacefully with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Susan Marie Wimmer (nee Fitze); devoted father of David Joseph Wimmer and his wife Christy, and Barry Joseph Wimmer and his wife Diane; loving grandfather of Rachel Majka and her husband Steven, and Jacob Wimmer; cherished step-grandfather of Mason and Maxwell Merwitz.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Schimunek Funeral Home, 9705 Belair RD, Nottingham, MD 21236, on Thursday, December 9, 2021, from 3-5 PM and 7-9 PM. Funeral services will be held on Friday, at 12 PM, at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Gardens of Faith Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in George’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
