Gloria Jean Smedberg (nee Rynkowski), age 75, of Nottingham, MD, passed away on July 21, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late Ronald Michael Smedberg; devoted mother of Amanda Margaret Dahling and her husband Edward, and Rebecca Ann Schafer and her husband Scott; loving grandmother of Abigail Dahling, Claire Schafer, Ryan Schafer, and Isaac Schafer; beloved companion of Robert Benson: dear sister of Wanda Lou Love, Robert Rynkowski and his wife Kolleen, and the late Stanley Rynkowski; cherished aunt of Christine Powell and her husband Daniel, Brittani Hoffman and her husband Eric, and Natalie Rynkowski.
Family and friends are invited to gather at the Schimunek Funeral Home, 9705 Belair RD, Nottingham, MD 21236, on Thursday, July 25, 2024, from 4-8 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024, at 10 A.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 8420 Belair RD, Baltimore, MD 21236. Interment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Gloria’s name to the St. Joseph Catholic Church.
