On December 30, 2019 James P. “Jim” Klein, Sr. passed away. He was the beloved husband of Kathy Klein (nee Donnelly); devoted father of James Patrick Klein, Jr. and his wife Peach, and Christopher Joseph Klein and his wife Mandy; cherished grandfather of Ronnie L. Braitsch, James P. Klein, III, Tyler J. Klein, Camden M. Klein, and Jersey P. Klein; loving great-grandfather of Peyton L. Braitsch, Quinn M. Braitsch, and the late McKenzie A. Braitsch; beloved son of the late Casper and Teresa Klein; dear brother of Patricia Perkins and her husband Carl; loving brother-in-law of Lois Bolfar, Phyllis Berke, and the late Janice Wiedenhoeft.
James was a detective in Baltimore Police Department Auto Theft Unit. He was a devoted member of the Knights of Columbus. He served as past Grand Knight for two terms, Current Grand Knight of the Notre Dame Council # 2901, former District Deputy, past Faithful Navigator, and past Color Corp. Commander.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit at Schimunek Funeral Home Inc., 9705 Belair Rd. Nottingham, MD 21236 on Friday from 3-5 and 7-9 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 11:00 AM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Interment will be private.
