On January 17, 2022, James Henry Pleiss passed away peacefully in his Parkville apartment. He was the beloved husband of the late Joan Doris Pleiss (nee Czapski); devoted father of Joan Diane Salisbury, husband David, William Pleiss, wife Betsy, Robert Pleiss, wife Colleen, Deborah Dougherty, late husband Dennis, and longtime companion Charles Grantland, and Stephanie Stadter, husband Dave; loving grandfather of 13 grandchildren and 18 cherished great grandchildren; dear brother of Gertrude Lichtfuss, Betty Fones, and the late William Pleiss, Augusta “Gussie” Pomery, Anna Ray, and Lula Miller.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Schimunek Funeral Home, Inc., 9705 Belair RD, Nottingham, MD 21236, on Sunday, January 29, 2023, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Memorial service will be held on Monday, January 30, 2023, at 11:00 AM, at the funeral home. Inurnment will follow at the Parkwood Cemetery.
