James Randolph Thomas Sr.

On April 27, 2026 James “Jimmie” Randolph Thomas, Sr. passed away. He was the beloved husband of Katherine Lynn Thomas (nee Sauner); devoted father of Randy Thomas and his wife Sheena, William Dale Thomas and his wife Samantha, and Barbara Arnold and her husband Barry; cherished grandfather of Carlyn Wilder (Mer), Hunter Arnold, Laken Arnold, Elizabeth Rabee (Ibraheem), Mira Shinault (Tyler), Emily Arnold; loving son of the late Helen and John Cassell. Jimmie is also survived by his great-granddaughter Arianna Arnold as well as several other great-grandchildren; his 2 fur babies Blaze and Ellie Mae; his wonderful caregivers Ashley Johnson and Ridgley Handy, and other dear friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at Schimunek Funeral Home Inc., 9705 Belair Rd. Nottingham, MD 21236 on Friday, May 1, 2026 from 4-7 PM, where a Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 12:30 PM. Interment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Gardens. Those who wish can make memorial contributions in Jimmie’s name to an animal shelter or rescue of your choice in honor of his love for animals.
