On November 8, 2016, John William Scherer, Jr. was called home. He was the beloved husband of the late Patricia Delores Scherer (nee Joyce); devoted father of Catherine Kirsch and her husband Gordon, Sandra Laughlin and her husband Eric, Jessica Brown and her husband David, John Scherer, III and his wife Courtney, and Patricia Morateck and her husband Stephen; loving grandfather of Kristin, Gordon, Andrew, Adam, Michael, Leanna, Alexander, and Matthew; cherished great-grandfather of Curtis and Kara; dear brother of Bette Lindemann, and the late William Scherer.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Schimunek Funeral Home, Inc. 9705 Belair Rd., Nottingham, MD 21236, on Friday November 11th from 3-5 and 7-9pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11am at Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church. Interment to follow at Gardens of Faith Memorial Gardens.
