Margaret Sharon Barton

Margaret Sharon Barton (nee Hood), October 27, 1950-March 26, 2025. She was the daughter of the late James Hood, Sr and the late Leona Hood. She was the beloved wife of the late Donald Barton, Sr. and step mother to Donald Barton, Jr. She was a loving sister to Beverly Slarve, the late James Hood, Jr and the late Leona “June” Hood. She was a caring and loving aunt to Joyce Cortez, Cheryl Scott, Jackie Dyer, Stacey Weakley, Michelle Clark the late Joseph Schmuff. She was also a kind and loving great-aunt/great-great aunt to many. She had many loyal, loving and caring friends for decades that she treasured and enjoyed spending her time with. She worked for the State of Maryland for 49 years until her retirement in 2022 where she had not only co-workers but friends for life. She cherished her family and friends dearly. She enjoyed watching and cheering on the Baltimore Ravens and was a member of local Ravens Nest #6. She cared deeply about the neighborhood feral cats, making sure they were fed every single day and even adopted one as her own.

A graveside and committal service will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Druid Ridge Cemetery.
