On March 4, 2026 Michael M. Jurkiewicz passed away. He was born on February 2, 1944 in Babice, a village in Poland, to Marian and Olga Jurkiewicz. He was the beloved husband of Irena Jurkiewicz (nee Sokalska); devoted father of Christina Grigorian and her husband Christopher, Nancy Teresa Graham, and Eric Jurkiewicz; cherished grandfather of Julia “Gigi” Grigorian, Harrison Grigorian, Grayson Grigorian, Jackson Graham, and Mason Graham; loving brother of Jadwiga Staruk and her husband Edward, James Jurkiewicz and his wife Marta, and the late Janina Hlasko, Dolores McMillan, and Rosalie Kavanaugh.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit at Schimunek Funeral Home Inc., 9705 Belair Rd. Nottingham, MD 21236 on Sunday, March 8, 2026 from 2-5 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, March 9, 2026 at St. Joseph Catholic Church (Fullerton), 8420 Belair Rd. Nottingham, MD 21236, at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
