I cannot begin to describe how honored I am to have known Ann and how much she actually meant to me. No one could have asked for a better in-law, who allowed me to take a place in her heart and accept me as part of her family.

Ann, thank you for all your help over the years. Life surely would have been much more difficult without you in it. I hope you know how often I think of you along with how much I love and miss you.

I love you and miss you. I will always remember all our good times together. We had fun at the beach, watching movies together, dying Easter eggs (you were the master of dying eggs). It didn’t matter what we did, you and I had fun. We made each other laugh. I really miss you Memom.

Dear Ms. Ann,

You were the rock of the family. The one that coordinated birthday dinners, made the famous chocolate cake for the birthday, planned our Ocean City trips, and organized all the holiday get-togethers. You loved your family and it showed in everything you did. I admire your strength and independence.

I was very fortunate to have you for a mother-in-law. You were not only my mother-in-law, I considered you to be a friend that I could confide in. You were a wonderful mother and because of you I have a devoted and loving husband.  I miss you dearly and think of you often.

Reflecting on our life together I am having trouble organizing all my thoughts into words. The easy thing I can say is that I love you and miss you so much. Your love for us taught me so many things that I have been able to do and some I am still working on. Your strength, I don't think I could ever have, but having you to show me how to be strong has helped me through this most difficult time.

Thank you for always taking care of us and teaching me how to take care of my family. Oh yeah, and by the way, thanks for pitching me all those wiffle balls in the backyard. So many things you did for me I could go on forever. Forever, that's where you will always remain in my heart until we see each other again.

JESUS, HELP ME!

In every need let me come to You with humble trust, saying: Jesus, help me!

In all my doubts, perplexities and temptations: Jesus, help me!

In the failure of my plans and hopes, in disappointments, troubles and sorrows: Jesus, help me!


When others fail me and Your grace alone can assist me: Jesus, help me!

When I throw myself on Your tender Love as a Father and Savior: Jesus, help me!

When my heart is cast down by failure, at seeing no good come from my efforts: Jesus, help me!

Loving Memories of my friend.
Once in a while, someone comes into your life that you know is special. There is an instant bond and you begin to share your secrets and  dreams. Ann and I had that bond. We met at work 30 plus years ago and shared so many good times.  I will always remember how we would laugh and sometimes, I know we had no idea of what we were laughing at.  I use to say Grauer, “we have to stop laughing or we are going to get those deep wrinkles.” Her reply would be, “better to have laugh lines than frown lines.” Then, we would laugh more.  I will never forget her kind face and bright smile. My friend Ann will always remain in my heart.  

I met Annie when I worked for her daughter /my friend, Sue, and she was so kind and funny! I used to look forward to joking and gossiping about work with her during the many times that she joined Sue and our friends and colleagues for fundraisers/bullroasts and girls nights out . She never drank but she loved our company and didn't mind when we got a little silly.  I remember her really liking Rod Stewart and thinking of her whenever I heard 'if ya think I'm sexy and you want my body, come on sugar let me know!' I will not forget her, she was a cool winter wheat lady. xoxoxo

The first time I met Annie, I was 13 years old.  Susan and I had just become friends and sometimes I would walk home with her after school.  It was Sue's grandmother Moriet (not Annie) who was there for her and David when they got home from school.  You see, Annie worked - had a job - outside the home!  I didn't really understand what she did back then, only that she worked in an office and wore really cool pants suits, skirts and heels.  I thought that was pretty daggone neat! What I did understand, however, was that she was a smart, independent little cookie.  I didn't realize until much later what an influence she had on my life.  I believe she played a huge role in my becoming independent..something I was not raised to be in my family.  I was brought up to be a wife and mother, nothing more.  While those things are rewarding, heaven knows we love our children beyond words  - and boy she did!! - Annie believed there was so much more out there for women than just that. Without her (my other mother) I would not have had my ‘teenage years’ – borrowing cars, sleepovers, dropped off at school, helped through some rough patches and yes, even some discipline thrown in.  I will be forever grateful and forever love and miss her.  Rest in peace, angel…until we meet again. 

Susan, David and families; I was very sorry to hear of your Mom's passing.  I always enjoyed talking to her. She was a lovely lady, with a big smile, and a great sense of humor.  Prayers and love.
