I just happened to come across Sharon's orbituary today.  I am so sorry for your loss, Jay and Chris and family. I often think about the years we shared a cubicle at our office. They were very special times. We got a lot of work done but on most days we also had a ton of laughs and fun. Barb Brandner

It is so very hard, first, to accept that my 'little' sister is no longer with me. And second, living without her 'character' , her outlook on life in general and her feelings towards family and friends, hurts deeply. Sharon was my sister, but, more importantly, my FRIEND.  We shared or exchanged ideas from cooking to that worst subject, 'politics'.  Sharon started a Christmas tradition some years ago, presenting family or friends, with a basket of cheer. The basket of cheer were her assortment of cookies, that she would bake endlessly prior to the holiday. (She would have poor Jay running in circles, doing this and doing that, to reach her target date. ) Thanks Jay.  So, her smile, her laugh and her enormous love of life will not be there any more. But, for me, I carry all that in my memories of her, that can never be erased nor forgotten. Sharon will always be in my heart. Love you darling, your Wayne O.


It's hard to sum up Sharon.
Looking over the group of photos I assembled for the video presentation at Sharon's memorial, I can see how they collectively express her values in life.  The threads of love for family and friends, helpfulness to others, caring for animals and the appreciation of nature (and of solitude) come through repeatedly.  Her curiosity, boundless energy and competitiveness are also represented.

Sharon's life included being an Emergency Medical Technician, an avid hiker/backpacker, an Orioles ball girl, a Ravens season ticket holder, a Maryland Master Gardener, volunteering at multiple animal rescue centers and earning her college degree while raising a son and maintaining a career as a paralegal.  She had a penchant for 70's Muscle cars, horses, dancing, singing, pinball and had dabbled with the guitar and piano.

It was hard for any one person to keep up with her.  Luckily, she had friends of all ages who would help diffuse her energy.

Sharon was someone who people would find easy to trust and confide in.  She had a way of motivating you to discover more about yourself and to try new things.

I have no doubt, had she lived longer, there would be a few more exceptional chapters to list here.

She will be deeply missed...

Sharon, time ran out for us.  We tried to do as much as we could in the time we had.  I enjoyed our day trips, our shopping and lunches, football, watching Blue Bloods and shows about the Revolutionary War.  You were always interested in everything and up for anything.  I miss you so much.  Chris, your mom was one of a kind.  My thoughts and prayers are with you and the family.

I can't believe that you are gone. You got me to go hiking, you forced me to be a Zumba instructor and you were a great friend. I love you and will miss you forever.
