I am an “old” yacht club friend of Billys’ and just saw this post. I am so sorry for your loss.  We had so many great summers.  It was an amazing time for all of us.   It was hard to see this as most of us have lost touch through the years.   Again my condolences.   Patti

Uncle Billy as I knew him... ( His father was once married to my Grandmother, Myrtle Weitzel ) was so much fun growing up.  He is 13 years older than me, but at a young age he was more like a brother.   He taught me a lot about boating as I spent time at Baltimore Yacht Club as a child, and muscle cars as back then he had a 1970 Chevelle SS.  Through the years we lost touch and the last time I saw him was at Baltimore Yacht club on his Dad's boat, that he had inherited.   Recently I began a quest to find a valid phone number for him and today of all days I googled to see if he had passed. What are the odds, on the day of his funeral?  I am sorry to hear he has passed away. To his children and family, my sincere condolences .   He always had a smile and positive attitude.  I will miss him... picture from Christmas 1971

Meek, modest, kind and caring are the immediate words that come to mind when I think of Bill.  Although we only dated briefly way back when I knew Bill to be a good man with a kind heart and a sweet soul.  He loved his kids dearly and would do anything in his power for their welfare. 
     You were dealt a bad hand in the end with your health several years ago.  It was difficult to see you with such struggles; so undeserving of the man I knew. Rest in Peace, my dear friend. 
 All that knew you, loved you and will remember the jovial, laughing, lover of life that you once were.  You are missed, sir!
May God bless Jeff, Greg, Jennifer and Robin and their families during this difficult time. 

Bill - you loved the water so it is fitting to post a picture of you at one of the places we fell in love with - Newport Rhode Island. May you feel heavens cool ocean breezes-------I love you.
