I had the good fortune to meet Mrs. Solve (as she was known to me at the time), when she became my catechism teacher in  the 3rd or 4th grade. She was an enthusiastic communicator and we loved her--especially when she was transporting us kids to and fro and over the railroad tracks on Olive Avenue in Novato. I daresay we became airborne in that little car of hers. Of course it was also a treat to be at Mass when she and Hans just couldn't resist the urge to "let the pipes loose" and grace us with their lovely and powerful voices. All good thoughts and I was blessed to have been her student.

It is unbelievable, and I am having trouble processing the passing of Barbara.  She was a continuous thread through my life and my families lives. She will be greatly missed.

I am so sorry for your loss.
Deepest sympathy to all of her family.
Barbara and her family helped to arrange  the wedding ceremony for Rob and I  a long time ago.
Barbara gave an object from her collection to my parents about 27 years ago at the wedding and my parents still keep it as a treasure.
Our family remembers her, talks about Barbara and  how much we appreciated her at the time.
Barbara made our family from Japan felt so welcome.
For certain her kindness that she showed to us will remain forever in our hearts.

What a loss to all of us. I will certainly miss that smile as Barbara walked in to the club. She was so helpful to me when I  was president of the Auxiliary .  Loved it when she burst into song. Loved her chocolate chip cookies. Loved everything about her.

So sorry to read of your Mom’s passing. 
I met Barbara and Hans when I worked at the BofA in Novato.  They operated Flying Dutchman Travel in Old Town.  
What a couple!  
Several yrs later I reconnected with Barbara at St Joseph Church in Cotati.  
We would see each other at Sunday Mass and she would bring me up to date with what was happening with her children- beaming proudly with every report. 

She will be truly missed.
