Barbara A Trites passed away suddenly at her home on Thursday, January 24,2019 at the age of 72. She was born April 10, 1946 in Melrose, MA and was the daughter of the late Russell & Phyllis (Cobleigh) Trites. She graduated from Melrose High School class of 1965. After starting her career in Boston, MA she went to work in Waltham, MA for Data Architects’ she transferred to San Francisco, CA with that company and had a successful 30+ year career before retiring. She was on the board of the Golden Gate Bridge District as well as Crossroads Townhomes and many others during her career.
She was tenacious at anything she took on and always gave 110% to everything. In her retirement she continued to work locally in the Travel Industry and then moved onto legal processing and executive secretary fields. She enjoyed traveling and loved spending time in South Lake Tahoe with her family at least twice a year. She crocheted, read continually, loved cats, auctions, yard sales and appreciated a good bargain. She was currently serving as the Exalted Ruler of the Elks Lodge #2655 Novato, CA.
She was a loving sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend and will be greatly missed! She is survived by her sister Wendy (Trites) Pinkham of Andover, NH, her son Robert W Trites of Fairfield, CA, her two adored grandsons--Jarod Trites and Samuel Trites of Fairfield, CA and their mother Stephanie (Fergie) Trites of Benicia, CA, two step grandsons Jason and Troy, one step great-grandson Cade Ferguson, one nephew Jason C Mailloux of Kremmling, CO, one great nephew Alex J Mailloux and many cousins as well as her beloved “Fat Cat” Scampy.
There will be a celebration of her life on February 24, 2019 at the Novato Elks Lodge #2655.
