Domenic John Saso of San Francisco, CA was born on 11/03/1921 to the parents of Mary Pagano and Antonio Saso, and passed away peacefully on March 12, 2019. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Santina Saso, Joseph Saso, Mary Granucci, Antonio Saso, Rosalie Bruno, Angela Row, Anna Hassler and Jeanette Colang. He was a professional musician for over 57 years playing and teaching accordion, piano and organ. .After he graduated Mission High School he served in the World War II aboard the USS Napa where he was a radio man and the Band Leader. As a member of the Accordion Club of the Redwoods Board of Directors, he received an award for recognition of a lifetime of dedication and commitment to accordion music, its performance, appreciation and promotion. His talents as a musician, instructor, retailer, television and radio performer have served to inspire generations of musicians. He was on the Board of Directors of the Petaluma Accordion Club of the Redwoods and Master of Ceremonies as well as the Organist at the San Francisco Elks Lodge #3, and a Member of Musicians Union Local 6. He was very lucky winning on slot machines and loved to go on cruises with his wife and close friends. He will be greatly missed by his daughter Diane Arata, her husband Greg and Pepper the Cat.
