Mary Stephens

Mary Stephens Mary Nilles Stephens, loving wife, best friend and inspiration to her husband Chet, passed away peacefully in her home on August 18th, 2010 surrounded by close family at the age of 78. She was a vivacious, spirited woman who brightened the lives of her family and friends, volunteered with Hospice, the American Cancer Society, and for the past four years mystified the many caring doctors and nurses at Novato Community Hospital with the amazing fight for life she possessed. Mary is survived by husband, Chet, her children Tony, Tim, Jim and Anne; her son and daughters-in-law, Sam, Mary Kay and Karen. She was a wonderful, colorful grandmother to Quinn, Will, Andrew, Anthony, Jeffrey, Sarah, and Luke. We will miss her love, her candidness, her sparkle and wit. A parishioner at St. Anthony's of Padua in Novato, a mass and memorial service for Mary will be held in September. Announcement of the time and date will be made soon.
