“The Big Kahuna”
Les entered the loving arms of his Savior on March 10, 2012 with his family by his side. He was born in Oak Harbor, WA on November 4, 1939. He enjoyed a long career as an Air Force pilot, and served honorably in Vietnam as a Forward Air Controller. He was an avid fisherman, boater and world traveler. He is survived by Patricia, his beloved wife of 52 years; brother Larry (Kay) Roodzant; daughters Cindy (Brent) Rappuhn, Sheila (Steve) Settle, and Janie (Paul) Horton; and 9 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on March 23rd at the Family Bible Church located at 2760 Heller Road in Oak Harbor, WA at 2:00 p.m. A military graveside burial service will be held at the Tahoma National Cemetery at 18600 Southeast 240th Street in Kent, WA at 10:15 a.m. on March 22, 2013. Both services are open to all.
