

Rose Ann Langan, age 91, of Oak Harbor, Washington, passed away on June 6, 2012. She was born on February 24, 1921 to George and Lulu (Lameroux) Dressel in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania . She was one of eight children. She married William Langan of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania when he was stationed with the Navy in Philadelphia. Together they had two daughters. Rose was an avid doll collector and enjoyed crocheting, knitting and other crafts. She was a devoted mother and homemaker. After William passed away on November 10, 1993, Rose moved to Oak Harbor to live with her daughter. She especially enjoyed visits with the ladies of the First United Methodist Church. At Summerhill, Careage and her final home at Harbor Care she valued the friendships she made, especially with the nurses and care givers. She is preceded in death by her husband, daughters, Aileen Zylstra and Jackie Harding, Her sisters and brothers, Helen Sthrode, Mildred Edmunds, Jane Assid, Edna McHale, Walter Dressel, and Edgar Dressel. Rose is survived by her sister, Ruth Evans of Columbia, Pennsylvania, nephew, Thomas Ellis of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, son-in-law, Roger Zylstra of Oak Harbor, Washington, four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A reception in honor of Rose’s life will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Oak Harbor on Sunday, June 24, 2012 following the church service.
