Robert was a World War II Veteran and a past President and member of the Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 15. He enjoyed Flying his Plane, Golfing and Ballroom dancing. He was also a big Notre Dame and Chicago Cubs fan.
Robert is the loving father of Wayne, Ronald, Daniel (Shirley) and Donna (Louie) Carlassara; Cherished grandfather of Benjamin Carlassara, Dana Carlassara, Michael Carlassara, Shannon Brown, Kate Deutsch, and the late Wayne Deutsch Jr.; Great-grandfather to Macy, Tyler, Dominick, Arianna, and Alek. Longtime friend and companion of Heidi Moess.
A visitation for Robert will be held Tuesday, March 15, 2022 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Chapel Hill Gardens South Funeral Home, 11333 South Central Ave, Oak Lawn, IL 60453. A chapel funeral service will occur Wednesday, March 16, 2022 beginning at 10:00am, 11333 South Central Ave, Oak Lawn, IL 60453. Interment at Chapel Hill Gardens South Cemetery.
