He was born in Evergreen Park, Illinois on September 5th, 1939. He was married to the late Sharon Dompeling for 37 years. Ted had a career in the trucking industry. He had a passion for bowling, fishing, and Jigsaw puzzles. He had a talent in woodworking and an avid sports fan of the Chicago Cubs. He was survived by his children: Kenneth (Kathy) Dompeling, Colleen (Roy Ybarra) Bradbury, Mike (Kathy) Cech, Dave (Lisa) Cech, Joanne (Bill) Harris; grandchildren: Bobby (Holli) Dompeling, Brian (Carly) Dompeling, Samantha (Juan) Martinez, Stephanie Bradbury, Tyler Cech, Kevin Cech, Emily Cech, Brandon (Miranda) Cech, Kaitlyn (George) Obrochta, Taylor (Austin) Detloff, Evan Cech, Alex Cech; brother to David (Kathy) Dompeling and Barb Wagener; beloved uncle to 3 nephews and 2 nieces and beloved great grandfather to 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Si and Nettie Dompeling, his wife Sharon Dompeling and grandchild Jake Cech.
A visitation for Theodore will be held Tuesday, February 11, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Chapel Hill Gardens South Funeral Home, 11333 South Central Ave, Oak Lawn, IL 60453.
