

Carol E. Pribich, age 91, of Lombard, Illinois passed away peacefully surrounded by her children on Sunday, May 16, 2021. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Steve Pribich. She is survived by her children Denise Devitt, Terry Devitt, Carol Solt (Jamie) and Mary Maloney (Bill), step-son Jeffery Pribich and daughter-in-law Dee Pribich. A proud grandmother of Star Tucker (Bill), Joseph Sanchez (Myrna), Anne Williams (Ken), Philip Maloney, Jacqueline Devitt, Grace Maloney-Fuhrmann (Andrew), Rebecca Stern, Kelly Devitt, Daniel Pribich (Jenna) and Kimberly Della Croce (Michael), as well as her great-grandchildren Alexis, Liam, Mia, Joseph, Isabella, Pauline, Amelia, Olivia, Nicholas, Mason, Austin and Camden. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews.
Carol was a force of nature who left a lasting impression on everyone who had met her. She was known for her unwavering strength, indomitable spirit and wry sense of humor. She loved good food and good company around the table for a story and a laugh. She traveled extensively and loved learning about other cultures and languages. She enjoyed entertaining and sharing her wonderful cooking with friends and family. Her generosity and wit will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM at CHAPEL HILL GARDENS WEST FUNERAL HOME, 17W201, Roosevelt Rd, Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181. Funeral Mass will be held at 1:30 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Carol's name to the West Suburban Humane Society.
The family would like to offer a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Lexington of Lombard and Lexington Hospice for their care and support during this difficult year.
