He was born on August 14, 1937 to Paul and Lavina Eschbach. Darwin graduated from Marengo High School and De Vry Technical Institute with a degree in Television and Radio Servicing. Darwin enlisted in the army, serving the country he loved during the Cuban Missile Crisis and was assigned to the Signal Corps. After the service, he worked for Service Master and Republic RSB until his retirement.
Darwin's hobbies included computers, gardening, travel, and fixing things. He loved spending time with his family and close friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Chuckie. He was an amazing and loving father to June Eschbach Williamson (Kurt, whom he loved like a son). He is also survived by his nine siblings, Elaine Ulrich, Marianne Zielenzinski, Paul Jr., Robert, Ronald (Shirley), Delores Camp, Betty Spolum, Clarence (Sandy Scott), William, and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive visitors on Thursday, June 13 from 10:30-12:00 with the service to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials in memory of Darwin by made to, Immanuel Lutheran Church, 5211 Carpenter St., Downers Grove, IL 60515
