Ester was proud of her many accomplishments including: being the first woman to be President of the Hospital of Englewood’s Medical Staff and being the first woman to complete resident requirement in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Michael Reese Hospital. She became Board Certified in 1974 and received her Fellowship in 1976. She delivered over 2,000 babies in her career and was once quoted: “Each time that I hear the cry of life from a newborn, I feel rewarded.” She loved and was loved by all.
