One year ago today you went home to the Lord. We love you Grandma.

The end of an era, the torch has been passed, our generations continue. I was fortunate enough to have Grandma in my life for 42 years. I can only hope that I will be lucky enough to one day be a Noni as amazing as mine was. I just need to learn how to perfect her biscuits! I imagine Grandma is up above singing songs, playing the organ, baking pecan pies and eating some grits and eggs. :)    A poem I'd like to share: "Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near; still loved, still missed and very dear". Have a glorious journey, say hi to Grandpa, thank you for everything you have ever been and will continue to be, we love you now and forever; and in the words of the beautiful Norma Oxner herself, "Stay Sweet!". In Christian concern and loving care, you were uplifted in prayer by The Mens Prayer Fellowship of Dauphin Way United Methodist Church.

I was a child when I attended First Assembly in Lexington.  Norma made a big impact on my seven year old heart.  I quickly began thinking one could not possibly play a piano or organ without first placing their hankerchief up on top.  I was healed of epilepsy under the ministry of the Oxner's.  She also introduced me to Mountain Dew.  Heaven truly became yet a little sweeter July 10th.  I am sure she heard the words, "Well Done my good and faithful servant."

So sorry but I know she was more than ready to go.  Love and prayers to all.
