Robert C. LaRue, age 86, beloved friend and companion of Nancy E. Velon for 30 years, went to his heavenly home on October 12, 2022. After attending Northwestern University he started his C.P.A. business in Orland Park and served as the President of the Southern Region C.P.A. Society. He assisted in Emergency Services and Disaster in the Village of Orland Park and volunteered to assist the Special Olympics. Golf was certainly his sport of choice. As a member of Christ Church in Oak Brook he served as an usher and belonged to the green apron crew serving the men's breakfast. He traveled throughout the United States and Europe and served for a short time in the United States Marine Corp. Robert was the son of the late Robert and Marjorie LaRue. He leaves behind many friends and loved ones including his son Mike, his daughter Julie, and Grandson Michael. Graveside Services and Interment at Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery will take place privately.
