I won’t pretend to know the pain & sadness that you are experiencing or how to make it go away. I do believe in the power of prayer & I pray that one day you will find peace & joy in the memories. Your mother loved you dearly. She enjoyed  the times she spent with you. I was looking forward to growing old/old with her. We both decided, even though in our 70’s, we weren’t old yet. She was a strong/beautiful woman and happy to be traveling again.  I admired her for being so adventurous. We shared approx. 45 years of friendship. We had good times & not so good times. Through it all we remained (and forever will be) friends. I will miss your mother and think of her often, sometimes with tears and sadness and sometimes smiling - remembering & cherishing the laughter & the beautiful, fun, special times we shared. May she rest in peace and her spirit continue to shine within each of us. 


One of my most cherished pictures of Michele. Typically on Sept 21 each year I send out the link to Earth, Wind & Fire's song September & ask recipients get up & do the happy dance.  Well - Friend (we loving called each other Friend) took it to the 5th power, a term we would use to express taking something to the next level. She not only got up & did the happy dance...she sent me a picture to prove it. 

Start of our Road Trip driving from Texas to California. Friend (Michele) flew to Texas so we could drive together to California. She was special like that...

My 50th HS Reunion. Michele was nice enough to attend with me.  I won one of the Raffles, however,  I  would not have even known I'd won if it hadn't been for Michele  paying attention and being on top of it -  letting me know I had won. I gave the basket to her... Win/Win for both of us. 


...at my HS 50th Reunion - 2018 - she still looked the same as she did back in the day...beautiful...a natural beauty...she didn't wear a bunch of make-up. 

Back in the Day...Monterey Blues Fest...me and Michele knew how to have a good time. 

My deepest condolences to the family and especially Angela..No words can really ease the pain right now. But try to take comfort in the wonderful memories you shared. Sincerely Denise..I pray for your peace.

Ms.AuntieMichele, My heart aches once again for Thee Bestest Friend, Sister to my Mom Carolyn many moons ago  and Chosen Daughter to my GrandMother Elizabeth Gill....and ForEVER PRESENT Auntie Michele to both myself and Sister Kenya...... To God Be The Glory to have had you, Angela, Netta, and Mr. Landon in my Life as the Force of Nature you were and beyond 🙏...... 

May your mother's love and spirit always be with each of you: Angela, Yunetta and Landon (grandson).  I pray that peace and comfort surround each of you, her family, friends and loved ones. You have my deepest sympathy. You have, you are and continue to make Ms. Michele proud.

No words could ever ease your pain, but please know that your mom Michelle will never be forgotten.  In a short time we became friends and sisters.  She was my safe haven!  She allowed me to be confident in who I am.  There was no judgment or criticism.
It is hard for me to face the reality that she  has left us!  She will truly be missed!
May God give you comfort and peace during this difficult time!


:Michele and I were childhood friends from the age of  seven until her passing. We both have two children the same age. Her mother taught us how to dress and do our make-up. We travel to Mecca making our pilgrimage. Even when I traveled to Africa for five years we remained close as friends. Our life was like sisters. She will truly be missed.

To my friend you will be sadly missed, but not forgotten we shared so many good memories....Rest in peace my friend God have you now.

Michelle was such a beautiful person inside and out. I enjoyed working with her at the post office for many years. I will always cherish our beautiful friendship. I pray God will give her daughters and grandson she always talked-about comfort and strength 🙏🏿💜
