Hello. 

My name is Alex Pham. I apologize heavily for my late letter to your family. 

I was there that night when Mister Dee Carnell Simmons tragically lost his life in a senseless shooting. I was one of the people struck by the shooter and I have been apart of this story since the start but I never quite made an appearance.  I'm not sure if you guys remember in the haze of everything, but there was a 19 year old Asian kid that was also hit.  That's me.

I hope you guys have found solace and peace in the time since. I'm not quite sure if I have myself to be honest. I'm sorry I didn't offer you my condolences sooner. I hope Dee is looking over all of you and his loved ones. I'm not quite sure what I wanted to convey in this message, other than I'm sorry for your loss, no one in this story lost as much as you guys have. If there's any way for me to help, please reach out to me if possible.
