THE OBITUARY INFORMATION
Mr.  Patrick Charles Johnson, Sr., son of (the late) Square and Macie Johnson, was born in Oakland, California on February 10, 1969. He accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior early in life, uniting with Cosmopolitan Baptist Church in Oakland, CA. and was baptized as a public confession of faith in Christ by Rev. Larry Ashley.  He was active in the youth department, singing in the choir and attending church camp. He received his education in the Oakland Unified School District, graduating from Castlemont High School in 1987. He attended Laney College, majoring in computer technology and did very well in the coursework undertaken.
He met the love of his life of 30 years, Caroline Spencer, a resident of his beloved Brookfield Village neighborhood located in East Oakland. From this relationship, he became the proud father of a son and a daughter, Patrick Charles Jr. and Patrice. 
Patrick was blessed with a thick, awesome head of hair and his mother, who was a beautician, made sure it was always impeccably styled. It was envied by both men and women. The girls loved it and he graciously reveled in the star power he received.
Preceding him in death, his parents, Square and Macie Johnson and his brothers SJ and Roy Johnson.  
He leaves to cherish his precious memory: the love of his life, Caroline Spencer (Oakland, CA; Children: Daughter, Patrice Johnson (Antioch, CA); Son Patrick Charles Jr. (China) Las Vegas, Nevada; Grandchildren: Frank, Elijah, Patrick III, King and Nehemiah Johnson; Daughter in spirit and heart, Starlisha Helger; Siblings: Bobbie Brooks (Gregory) Hayward, CA; Melvin Johnson (Carolyn), San Jose, CA; Louise Pastor (Jimmy) San Leandro, CA; Nieces and Nephews: Eshe Brooks (Oakland, CA); Graig Brooks (Hayward, CA); Cicely Pastor (San Leandro, CA); Jimmy Pastor II (San Leandro); and a host of other relatives and friends.




My Deepest condolences and sympathy. Patrick aka P-cat will be truly missed from the neighborhood. His smile and good spirit will live on. May God continue to strengthen the family during this difficult time.......God Bless

My condolences to the family. I am praying for your strength and that God bring you guys comfort soon. 

The Johnson's and Jordan's were next door neighbors for over 40 years. Pat and I were exactly 3 months apart. He was my brother. Mrs. Johnson use to do my hair and Mr. Johnson would not let us park next to the pole. That was his parking space... lol. 

My dad would take Pat to church with us. We went to school together from Dag, to Brookfield, to Madison, and graduated together at Castlemont. 

Pat you will be missed my brother.
