Anthony "Tony" Bocca

Anthony "Tony" Bocca, age 81, of Belleview, Florida passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2024. Tony was born in Manhattan, New York to the late Anthony C. and Eleanor (Giblin) Bocca. He was Catholic by faith.

Tony worked for the City of Hempstead in New York for over 30+ years as sanitation worker. He was also a volunteer Fire Chief for Uniondale Fire Department which he was proud of.

Tony moved to the Ocala area in 2000. He enjoyed golfing, Fox News, playing video games and had a love for animals.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Eleanor; daughter, Eileen Gernert and two brothers, Ronald and Richard Bocca.

He is survived by his five children, Michael Bocca, Anthony C. Bocca, III, Jacqueline Bocca, Daniel Bocca, Antoinette Pellaterie ; sons-in-law, John Gernert and Chris Pellaterie and daughter-in-law Marie Bocca; brother, Andrew Bocca and sister-in-law Laura Bocca along with eight grandchildren and one great granddaughter; and his significant other, Marion Jansson.

A visitation for Tony will be held Wednesday, January 24, 2024 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 5740 South Pine Ave, Ocala, FL 34480. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 2:30 PM at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, 5740 South Pine Ave, Ocala, FL 34480.
