Clara Ora Michaels

November 9, 1935 – May 22, 2025

Clara Michaels, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2025, at the age of 89.

Clara was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Donald Michaels, and two sons-in-law, Mark Armstrong and Bruce Vaughn. She is survived by her five loving children: Teresa Armstrong, Dee Vaughn, Allie Konrad (husband Tommy Konrad), Lee Sims Blankenship (husband John Blankenship), and Brian Wood.

By the number of photographs she kept around her home, she was a proud grandmother of ten: Laura Hance (husband Richy Hance), Elizabeth Captain (husband Nick Captain), Holly Cagle (husband Jason Cagle), William Vaughn, Craig Harlan (deceased), Michelle Dierckman, Chad Spiegel, Ryan Sims, Jeremy Sims, and Samantha Schrock.

Her legacy continues through her 18 great-grandchildren: Tyler Westrich, Brynn Vaughn, Riley Vaughn, Liam Vaughn, Caleb O’Laughlin, Brant Cagle, Jessica Hance, Brandon Hance, Samantha Hance, Krysta Bowles, Sidda Sims, Molly Dierckman, Brody Dierckman, Blane Dierckman, Benton Dierckman, Brooklyn Harland, Blake Harland, Shawn Agnew and Landon Harland.

She was also blessed to welcome two great-great-grandchildren into the world: Liam Bowles and Callum O’Laughlin.

Clara’s deep love for her family were evident in everything she did. Her home was always open, and her table always full. She leaves behind a legacy of strength and generosity.

Clara is interred at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Ocala, Florida.
