She was predeceased by her husband, Carlos Carter, her second husband, Carl Poppell, son, Ronnie Carter and granddaughter, Carrie Kirkland.
She is survived by her 3 daughters, Cookie (Lee) Howington, Sherry Kirkland, and Linda (Chuck) Muller; one son, Roger Carter; 12 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation at Forest Lawn Funeral Home will be held from 1pm to 2pm on Saturday, Feb 22, 2020 with a funeral service at 2pm officiated by Bishop James Varnum of Souls Harbor Church. Burial at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens will follow the service.
