

James Harold Butler, age 69, of Summerfield, Florida, formally of Winchester, Indiana passed away, Thursday August 26, 2021 at the Estelle Hospice House, Ocala, Florida. He was born April 9, 1952 in Winchester, Indiana.
He was survived by his loving wife Rita Kay Butler "Walradth” and their three sons James Harold Butler II, Jason Allen Butler wife Amy Beth Butler, and Derrick Eugene Butler.
James graduated from Union High School Winchester, Indiana in 1970. James Butler holds a unbeatable record in track and field and was part of the 1970 Sectional basketball champs for Union High School. In 1976 James joined the US Army where he would serve a twenty year service in which he would retire and work as a civil service worker for the military for an additional 11 years. James Butler would earn a bachelor degree in business he would also apply his excellent abilities in teaching to instruct in fields such as pastoral training advisor, biomedical instructor and several other fields. James Butler would finally retire in Summerfield, Florida where he would live out the rest of his life.
James Butler's family also consists of deceased father Harold Eugene Butler, mother Edna Butler "Edwards ", deceased father in law Robert Walradth, mother in law Dorothy Williams, surviving Sisters Nancy Butler "Walradth ", husband Robert Walradth, Janet Butler "Bivens" deceased husband Chuck Bivens, Tresa Butler "Mallory". James also has three grandchildren, three step grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
A visitation for James will be held Monday, August 30, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 5740 South Pine Ave, Ocala, FL 34480. A committal service will occur Tuesday, August 31, 2021 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, FL 33513.
If desired, Memorials in Jim's name may be made to the Marion County Hospice.
