Jerry was a close friend of mine the entire time we taught together for twenty years. I regret that we lacked communication these last 15 years. He was a loyal friend who accepted others, and did not let differences stop him. His work with kids was a huge contribution to their lives.  His golf swing reminded me of Nelly Fox.  He is and will be missed.  My condolences to everyone who knew and loved Jerry.
