It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, who has left us at the age of 85. She was born in Albertville, Alabama, and had a rich life filled with love and cherished memories. Her husband Harold, with whom she spent 63 years of marriage, predeceased her, along with her mother Daisy Cole. She is survived by her daughters Emily, husband Russ and Diane, Partner Randy, as well as her grandchildren Heather, Nicholas, Amber, and Noelle, and great-grandsons Ryan and Parker. Her siblings Sue Duckett, Faye Johnson, and Glen Cole are also left to cherish her memory.
Our mother was a woman of great strength, resilience, and faith. She loved her family fiercely and cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren. She was an avid reader and enjoyed watching detective shows in her spare time. She and her husband Harold were the proud owners of Heatons Bargain Center in Belleview for more than 25 years. Their hard work and dedication to their business were a testament to their strong work ethic.
Our mother and father were devout Christians and attended First Baptist Church, where they found great comfort and joy in their faith. She taught us all to be strong, capable, and to carry on in troubled times. She loved Jesus, but no one more than her husband Harold, and we take solace in the knowledge that they are now reunited in heaven.
Our mother's legacy will live on through the values she instilled in us and the memories we hold dear. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A graveside service for Lois will be held Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, 5740 South Pine Avenue, Ocala, Florida 34480.
