Mary Ellen Vey, 70, of Summerfield, Florida, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2026. Born in Ocala, Florida, on March 21, 1956, Mary lived a life marked by quiet strength, compassion, and an unwavering dedication to learning and family.

Mary was a proud graduate of the University of Florida earning a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education. She later went on to earn a Master’s degree in Cyber Security. Her commitment to education and personal growth reflected her determined spirit and deep intellectual curiosity. She carried those qualities throughout her life and inspired those around her with her perseverance and wisdom.

Above all else, Mary cherished her family. She was a loving mother to Leonard Christopher Murphy and a devoted grandmother to Brian Kade, who brought immense joy and pride to her life. Her gentle nature, warm smile, and caring heart will be forever remembered by those fortunate enough to know and love her.
