Robert C. Dove

Robert C. Dove age 84 of Ocala Florida passed away December 9, 2016 at home with his family at his side. Graveside services will be December 15, 2016 at Jacksonville National Cemetery at 1:00p.m with Military Rites.

Bob was born May 6, 1932 in West Frankfort, Illinois the son of Edgar Fern and Florence Daisy (Burns) Dove. He was one of thirteen children. Bob graduated Stewardson-Strasburg High School class of 1950. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War then reenlisted in the United States Air Force and retired as a First Master Sergeant in 1971. He then moved to Florida where he spent the remainder of his life. Bob married Anna “Lorene” Reed January 3, 1954. To them were born 5 children. Bob enjoyed spending time outside, reading and taking long walks.

He leaves behind son’s Bradley Dove and wife Kitty, of Florahome, Greg Dove, of Ocala, Ken Dove of Cocoa, all in Florida; and daughter Julie Lynch and husband Gary, of Shelbyville, Illinois, 6 grandchildren, 3 greatgrandchildren, one Sister Wilma Cossiboom, Pana, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorene, one daughter Terri Dove, his parents, sisters Novella Lape, Eileen Tarr, Wanda Hunt, Dorothy Syfer, Barbara Mendernach, Doris Johnson, Patricia Dove, and little sister Pauline brothers David Dove, Teddy Joe Dove and little brother John Thomas.
