

Bob was born in Beckley, WV on 15 April 1950. He graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1968 and received certification as A National Registry Emergency Technician Paramedic (NREMT-P) from Bluefield State College. Afterward Bob became an instructor for the certification at the College and taught many new EMT’s courses such as Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); Basic Trauma Life Support (BTLS); First Aid; CPR and other such medical courses. Many days he would ride as second on an Ambulance and/or work at Beckley Hospital.
Bob was married to Pamela Lynn McCollam on 26 June1971.
Bob had a two different careers, working as a Teamster for Teamster Local 175 for 16 years, driving tractor trailers and earth moving vehicles, such as a Euclid 777 and a 130 PayHauler. Later he worked for ISO/CRS as an Insurance Underwriting Investigator. While working a full time job, Bob also devoted his free time as an NREMT-P. He also became a volunteer Fireman with Braden River Fire Department in Bradenton, FL for seven years.
After moving to Florida, Bob joined the Masons and was a perpetual member of Friendship Lodge No 53 AF&M of Fellowship, FL. He was also a member of many other allied Masonic Groups.
He had a passion for Scuba Diving. He was a Scuba Instructor with National Association of Underwater Instructors (NAUI). He also taught Photography Classes in Beckley, WV thru Beckley College, and taught various Medical Classes as well as being the American Red Cross Disaster Services Chairman with his wife in both Raleigh County, WV and Sarasota County, FL. He was also a member of the Civil Air Patrol, an Auxiliary of the United States Air Force in WV and FL, achieving the position of Major.
Bob was preceded in death by his Father, Mose Thomas Ramieh and his Mother, Lucy Flynn Campbell.
Bob is survived by his spouse of 52 years, Pamela Lynn McCollam Ramieh, of Ocala, FL; a son, Robert Flynn Ramieh, II (Kelly Sue) of Ocala, FL; grandsons, Robert Flynn Ramieh, III of Bradenton, FL, Bobby Kincaid (Kristen) of Beckley, WV; great grandchildren; a brother, Mose Thomas Ramieh, Jr. (Janice Duncan-Ramieh) of Caswell Beach, NC; a sister, Starr Ramieh (Tony Horne) of Lorton, VA; a sister-in-law, Natalie Ann McCollam Shaw of Cheltenham, MD; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Bob loved to quote Albert Pike, saying:
“What we have done for ourselves alone dies with us;
What we have done for others and the world remains and is immortal.”
A visitation for Bob will be held Tuesday, September 5, 2023 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at 10:00 AM, followed by burial. All services will be held at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 5740 South Pine Ave, Ocala, FL 34480.
