
Helene earned her Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Brooklyn College and dedicated 25 years to teaching in the Hillsborough Township Public School District. She was a passionate and devoted educator who created a classroom filled with warmth, patience, and encouragement, and she touched the lives of countless students and families throughout her career.
Helene treasured time with her family, and she enjoyed traveling the world with family and friends, creating lasting memories wherever she went.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Alan; her son, Howard (Kimmie); her daughter, Jennifer (Peter); her cherished grandchildren, Jacob, Ethan, and Carley; her sister, Marilyn; her niece, Faith; and her great-nieces, Madelyn and Delaney. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Randy (Judith); and their children, Charlie, Paul, and Sarah.
Helene’s legacy lives on in the many lives she shaped as a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, caring sister and aunt, trusted friend, and inspiring teacher. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
A graveside service will be held at Beth David Cemetery, 300 Elmont Road, Elmont, NY 11003 on May 3, 2026, at 1:00 pm.
