

With deepest regret we announce that Robert Walter Miller, a devoted husband and father, caring son, loving brother, and dedicated public servant, passed away peacefully in Rotonda West, Florida, on February 19, 2025 at the age of 82. A lifelong resident of Oakhurst, Bob was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, on November 7, 1942, to George and Rose Miller. He spent his life serving and protecting others as a committed police officer and detective for the Ocean Township Police Department.
Throughout his career of over 25 years, Bob was known for his unwavering sense of duty, integrity, and compassion for the community he served. He took great pride in his work, building lifelong friendships with his fellow officers and members of the local community, making a lasting impact on those he helped. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary (Sandi) Miller, whom he cherished deeply.
Bob is survived by his loving daughter, Aimee Miller, who was his greatest joy, and his dear sister, Kathleen Miller. He will be remembered for his kindness, resilience, and the unwavering love he had for his family and for being a respected member of the community.
A mass will be held for him on Friday, February 28 at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church 800 Ocean Avenue Long Branch, NJ 07740 at 11am. If you would like to send flowers, please have them sent to the church by 10:00 am.
Robert Miller will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
