Terry Cecile Negin

Terry was born in Brooklyn, NY in 1948. She moved to Ohio in 1970, where she taught elementary school and had her two sons, Russell and Benjamin. She then moved to Roxbury, NJ where she taught for an additional 21 years. She retired to Long Branch, NJ where she enjoyed going to the beach, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren, Aaron, Zachary, Isabella, and Elyse.

Terry was someone who refused to be defined by limits. Diagnosed with cancer in the 1980s and told she might have only a year to live, she beat the odds and lived for another 37 remarkable years. She never complained and enjoyed every moment.

Above all, Terry was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose love, resilience, and determination left an indelible mark on her family.

A funeral service will be held at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, located at 2130 Highway 35, Ocean, NJ, 07712, on January 28, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 1:45 pm.

A committal service will follow at Congregation Agudath Achim Cemetery Neptune, located at 2432 W Bangs Ave, Neptune City, NJ, 07753, on January 28, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm.
