Walter was a really nice guy to work with at GM. A good worker, he was a knowledgeable tradesman and his work showed it. After the plant closed, I started working with him on the outside. I was lucky to meet his family and got to know them. We worked for 3 to 4 years on decks, basements and the day care schools that Marilyn and Alicia opened up. He was an easy guy to work with, and we always seemed to be able to agree on how to accomplish tasks. I know he will be missed by all his grandkids, and his children. An honor to know him.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I have such fond memories of him throughout my life. What I remember most is how he cherished and loved his family so much. His grandchildren were his world and he enjoyed spending time with them so much. He was good man. Kind and caring and always willing to help someone. He will be sadly missed. May he Rest In Peace and may you all find comfort in your beautiful memories of him. God bless.

Deepest sympathies to all of Walter’s friends and family. I worked with Walter at GM he was a great guy. He was our first responder when things broke at the plant. He always took care to get us up and running efficiently. Beyond that he had a larger than life persona, full of warmth and charm. The world lost a great man.

To Walter Jr. and family:
We were so very sorry to hear of Walt’s passing.
We met him thru a mutual friend of ours, her name was Sue. Walt was always there for her, both before and after she became ill. Sue and I were always cooking and making sure Walt had a care package of food to take home. After Sue passed away, we kept in touch with Walt and enjoyed his company. We would meet for lunch or dinner and every so often I would make him some rice pudding. He really loved that rice pudding. About every 3 weeks or so we would call each other to catch up on the phone. We only knew Walt for about 5 years, but we felt
he was truly a soft spoken gentleman and we respected him, and I just loved his southern accent. He will truly be missed by our family. Heaven has a new angel to watch over us.
