William Heller, 90, of Long Branch, NJ, passed away on Sunday, January 12th , 2014 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. He was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA, and lived in Newark, Iselin, and Mountainside, NJ, before moving to Long Branch. He attended Bucknell University and was a graduate of Rutgers University Law School.
Mr. Heller-known to everyone as Bill- was actively involved in commercial and industrial real estate throughout New Jersey. He was passionate about real estate and business, solving world problems, thoroughbred racing, his gin game, his Saturday “meeting of the minds club”, and above all, his family and friends.
Mr. Heller is survived by his wife of 65 years, Selma; his two daughters: Karen and her husband Bernie Formal, of Westfield, NJ, and Fran and her husband Ron Gartner of New York City; and his two adoring grandchildren, Adam and Remi Formal.
A funeral service is 11am on Tuesday January 14th, 2014 at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels in Ocean, NJ. Interment will follow at B’nai Abraham Cemetery in Union, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the NJ Library for the Blind or www.njlbh.org.
