A. C. Norrell passed from this life peacefully on January 14, 2019 at the age of 88. He was born February 1, 1930 in Vernon, Texas and moved to Odessa in 1951 at the age of 21. He brought in tow his wife Norma Jo and infant son Bruce. A. C. worked in the oil field for over 50 years until his retirement from Halliburton. Throughout his career, he was respected for his knowledge, dependability and strength of character.
A. C. is survived by son Bruce Norrell, daughter Leisa Lewis and husband Richard Lewis, three granddaughters: Jennifer Trimm, Carmen Mauldin and Jessica Norrell, 3 great grandchildren and 1 great, great granddaughter. He is also survived by John Mark Weaver, a trusted friend and "adopted" son.
A. C. is predeceased by his wife of 51 years Norma Jo Pannell, loving son Don (Bear) Norrell and second wife Norma Thurman.
A. C. was a hardworking, honest and loving son, husband and father for 88 years and was ready to reunite with his loved ones in heaven. While his family and friends mourn his passing, we know he is happy, healthy and rejoicing in his new heavenly home. God has a wonderful new angel.
Services for A. C. will be Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Crescent Park Baptist Church at 2:00 pm.
