Anita Madrid Garcia

Anita Madrid Garcia, a homemaker age 82, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2012, at her residence in Odessa. She was born July 29, 1929, to Manuel D. and Merced (Contreras) Madrid in Presidio, TX.

She was a member of St Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. She enjoyed life to the fullest, and enjoyed playing cards with her friends, bingo, and going to the casino. She enjoyed all her friends from Key West Apartments. We want to thank them for all the visits and friendships they had with her.

Anita was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one grandson.

She is survived by her sons, Enrique Garcia, Eleuterio Garcia Jr and Elsa, Jose Garcia and Neomi; daughters, Catalina Garcia and David, Sylvia Molina and Manuel, Manuela Puga and Mike, and JoAnn Garcia and Tommy all of Odessa; eleven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

We want to thank Star Hospice for all the care they provided for the family.

Pall bearers will be, Michael Garcia, Anthony Rodrigues, Ray Nabarrette, Tony Garcia, Teddy Cabrera, and Bryant Garcia. Honorary pall bearers will be Diane Carmona, Ashley Puga, Angel Garcia, Ruben Garcia and Sammy Garcia.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 24, 2012, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church with Father Mark Woodruff officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
