Bettye Turner

Bettye Jo Turner, 81, of Odessa, TX passed away January 11, 2015. She was born July 2, 1933 in Mineral Wells, TX to David Wesley and Josephine Roberson. She married William Jack Turner on February 3, 1951 in Big Spring, TX. They shared a loving life of 62 years before Jack passed away on May 24, 2013.

Bettye Jo was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy Rigdon, and her son Michael Turner. She is survived by her children: son and daughter-in-law Steven and Karen Turner of Pleasanton, TX. son and daughter-in-law, James and Valerie Turner of Carrollton, TX. and daughter-in-law Cyndy Turner of Bayou Vista, TX. her 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren are devoted to the memory of Grandpa and Gram. She is also survived by her brothers, Robert Roberson and wife Lucy of Big Spring, TX and David Roberson and wife Jody of Pflugerville, TX

Bettye was a member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church and lived a full life dedicated to her family, friends and faith. She and Jack enjoyed their time with The Odessa Chuck Wagon Gang working and traveling with the organization. She enjoyed sewing for the grandkids and playing golf with Jack and her family and her dear friend Nita. She has long supported Catholic Charities both physically and financially.

A memorial service will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 10:00 am with Father Mark Woodruff officiating. Interment will follow at the church.
