Caleb was born and raised in Odessa. Caleb went to St. Mary’s Catholic school and Permian High School. Caleb loved sports, but had a heart for baseball.

He played in several leagues and helped his team win a championship. Caleb enjoyed spending time with his best friend Steve Gonzales, who was like a brother to him. They were inseparable.

Later in life, he met the love of his life, Tianna Walker, whom he spent the remainder of his time with. In 2016, him and Tianna welcomed a beautiful baby girl, Haili Jade Hinojos.

Caleb’s most pride and joy was his baby girl. He enjoyed taking his daughter to the park and spending time with her at home watching movies.

Caleb worked at Nipco and Basic Energy and was later introduced to the electrical field. At the time of his death, Caleb was an apprentice for Sun Electric. He was a hard worker and loved his job. Caleb had many friends.

Man, what can I say about you Caleb. Since we played ball back at Sherwood we became homies. I can remember the days back at hood when we actually kicked it thru high school & to now, it was always love & respect. Im gonna always remember you for that. You were great friend to so many of us & an even better father/husband it saddens us to see you go but you’ll never be forgotten brother

I met this great young man when he was about 9 or 10 years old. I saw this left handed kid throw a baseball with such accuracy i was impressed right away. I coached many games against him and each time thinking to my self”Man i want this kid on my team”I finally got that opportunity when he made the 11 year old all stars. He was a all star then and now. Many years later Caleb and i got to reconnect by Facebook. We started talking about God one day and well it just kept going. I invited him to church and started a daily prayer with him and ryan martinez and his wife. We would send prayers to each other and bible verses. Caleb would always respond back with “Amen to the big Man”. I’m glad to know i was there to help him start his journey with Christ and i know he’s up in heaven with his signature smile. God be with you and God be with all of us. “Amen to the Big Man”. Love you kid!!!

The Lord blessed my family with an angel when he introduced Caleb into our family. As a mom I could not have asked for a more perfect soul to share my beautiful daughter with. Our hearts are broken and we really don't know how to cope right now but only through the grace of God we will persevere in this tragic time. R.i.P. my amazing angel Caleb
