I will always remember when, as a child if my parents went out for the evening we spent the night at my grandparents. When ever it was close to bed time my grandmother and some of my aunts, who still lived at home, would pray the rosary. We ( my brother and I) of coarse had to participate even thought we didn't really understand what was being said because it was all in spanish. But I have a very vivid memory of my Grandmother at the front of the room facing a statue of the virgin Mary. Even though I couldn't understand what was being said I knew who the blessed Mother was and that I had to respect what was going on.
I would never claim to be a perfect Catholic Christian. But I always felt that that image of my grandmother was ONE of the key reasons I remained faithful to my faith in Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church. I know she prayed for her children and her grandchildren with great faith in her God, her savior, her church.
She and my grandfather did the best they could and they did a pretty good job of that. As far as I can tell, the foundation of faith in God and our Lord Jesus Christ is in all her children....,and her legacy will live on in all of us.
Pray for us Abuela and We'll see you in Gods time.

Mother you will always be remembered, thank you for teaching all 13 children to respect and pray on our knees after all that is what the name HINOJOS means. Thank you for helping me raise my oldest son while I continued my education. I remember crying out to you when I became a single Mom. I cried while you caressed my hair then said"Lnda you will continue doing as you have. Working and providing for your children except without a man. God will not leave you,he will uplift you. You will care for your children and work hard for them because it is no longer about you but about them. You entered this earth by yourself and you will leave it by yourself and when it is all over God will honor you for your deligence." Those words did not set well with me at that moment because I didn't understand them. It took me awhile and now it's been 19 years and with the Grace of God I have done well with my 5 children. God has always placed good people in my path to help in my hard times.  I want to thank ABBA Father for allowing 52 years of life with you.

Your mother was an incredibly strong woman of God! She helped out my parents Dorothy & Vernon McCartney for many years. May you be comforted during this time that the legacy of your Mother,Grandmother,and also friend to my family & I lives on. May our heavenly father comfort you and give you strength during this time. Our family will be lifting your family up in prayer! It was a blessing to know her.

Thank you father  God for the mother you picked for me. an awesome women of God prayer warrior admired by all her children grand children and so many people she touched in her life time. You raised us in the ways of the lord and that included not sparing the rod to all of her thirteen children never given up on your marriage for our sake we watched you pray our father into salvation though we were raised with respect  and integrity my mother was a firm pillar for the family and that pillar is gone she laid the foundation of Jesus Christ in our life to continue the walk in our children and our grand children. I miss you so much already Madre will miss you calling out to you and hearing your wisdom and laughter it was an honor to take care of you Madre.

Grandma, 
      God thank you for the wonderful creation you put on this earth my grandma, she was the ultimate example of a mother and of a servent for god she was like no other person in our lives and i want to thank her for being the example for my mom (Becky). We were raised to cast all cares to god and never miss the mornings never to sleep in late because we needed to get up and seek God first and thank him for another day of life i want to say thank you Grandma for who you were and what you did for our family your a beautiful spirit that will stay in us forever. You were a fighter and a soldier for God and thanks to you our moms and dads are able to be the example and join the army of god. You lived a leguacy and i love you and will miss you. We celebrate your life and wait tor the day he takes us from this temporary home called earth and see you soon in our permanent home.

 I will always remember my grandmother as a prayer warrior always praying for me and my family always reminding us to put God first in our life and to take care of our Husband and kids. She was the fouindation of teaching my mother ( Becky) the word of God,  praying for othiers and always being a blessing to eveyone and how to raise  my four sisters and I in the word of the lord everyday of our lifes. I am truly greatful for having a strong,loving,giving grandmother that set the example on how to be a strong Godly woman.
