

Donna Mae Thompson is now with her Savior. She went to be with the Lord June 4, 2010, at Parks Methodist Retirement Center in Odessa.
Donna was born November 13, 1916, in Beardstown, Lamar County, Texas, to Charlie and Ruby (Dillard) Geron. In 1924, at the age of six, the family moved to Roscoe and to Odessa in 1957. She graduated from Roscoe High School in 1934. She attended Harden Simmons University,
She was a member of Belmont Baptist Church where she had been a Sunday school teacher. Also a member of the Rebekah Assembly I.O.O.F. of Texas lodge #68 for 50 years where she had served as Noble Grand Marshall. She was also a member of West Texas Opportunity Board.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband M. J. Nichols in 1944, brothers, Arthur D and Harold Geron, and son, Jerry Don Nichols.
She is survived by her children, Charles Wayne Nichols and wife, Doris of Odessa, Janelle Cozart and husband, Bryan of Kemp, TX, her brother, Paul Geron and wife, Thelda of Bangs, TX, six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
There will be a visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, June 6, 2010, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 7, 2010, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. at the Roscoe Cemetery in Roscoe, TX.
