Longtime resident of over 50 years, Doris W. Hatcher, age 88, passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2015.
She was born October 19, 1926, in Bristow, OK, to Harvey Reed Hatcher and Nettie Irene Hatcher. Her family moved back to Texas in 1931.
Doris loved and was married to Eugene Lee Denison for 28 years. He preceded her in death on May 11, 2004. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her three sisters, Galene, Ardel, and Juanita Hatcher.
Ms. Hatcher was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church and Catholic Women of Odessa. She attended Odessa College and UTPB and was on the dean’s list.
She enjoyed working for Engine Service and Supply, Childers, Martin & Co, CPA’s, and The Huffman Company. Her hobbies were gardening, sewing, crochet, and other handi-work.
Survivors include her cousins Ruth Wyatt of Gun Barrel City, TX; Phillip and Gae Sutton of Odessa.
